Description
SAIC Frederick, Inc., a subsidiary of SAIC and the operations andtechnical support contractor to the National Cancer Institute-Frederick,has an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Fellow in our HPVImmunology Laboratory to investigate immune responses to HPV vaccinesand natural history studies of HPV-induced cervical disease. Approacheswill include, but are not limited to, the use of multi-color flowcytometry, lymphoproliferation assays, expression profiling, RT-PCR andvirus neutralization assays. Research involves the optimization andimplementation of new techniques with application to epidemiologicstudies of immune responses to HPV.
Doctorate degree from an accredited college/university in a biologicalscience and a strong background in immunology required. Foreign educatedcandidates who have completed part or all of their education outside ofthe United States must have their foreign education evaluated by anSAIC-approved accrediting organization to assure that it has met theequivalency of the qualifications of degree work in the United States.Must have an interest in host response to pathogens and vaccines andexperience in cell culture, current molecular biology and immunologicaltechniques and flow cytometry.
