The position is part of The Strategic Program in Neuroscience at Karolinska Institutet within the
Neuronal Oscillations Laboratory of Dr André Fisahn.

The StratNeuro program includes three sub-program areas:
1 ) Neurodevelopmental disorders & Psychiatry
2 ) Neurodegenerative/Neuroinflammatory diseases
3 ) Basic mechanisms of cognitive and motor functions

This position will be within the sub-program Neurodegenerative/ Neuroinflammatory diseases.

Duties
Postdoctoral fellows and graduate students who have been well trained in electrophysiology and are interested in investigating pathophysiological mechanisms underlying cognitive dysfunction in mouse models of Alzheimer’s disease or related conditions are encouraged to apply for advanced postdoctoral
training in the laboratory of Dr André Fisahn.

Entry requirements
A person is eligible for a postdoc position if he or she has obtained a PhD no more than five years before
the last date of employment as postdoc.
Requirements include a strong background in whole-cell patch-clamp electrophysiology and clear
evidence for exceptional productivity.

The successful candidate will join a highly interactive team of
scientists within the interdisciplinary Alzheimer Disease Research Center at KI who are committed to
identifying novel approaches to the treatment and prevention of AD.

Working language in the lab is English. Extension of the position beyond two years is possible pending
performance review.
