Job Description:

A post-doctoral position in NEURODEGENERATIVE DISEASES is available to study the MOLECULAR MECHANISMS UNDERLYING HUNTINGTON'S DISEASE.

Eligible candidates will be involved in an exciting area of research with clinical relevance.

The project will be developed with a multidisciplinary approach involving the use of biochemical, molecular and cell biology techniques. Previous experience in confocal microscopy and/or molecular biology, lipid and protein biochemistry is essential.

Preferred starting date: October/November 2007

Location:  Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: qualified applicants should have a PhD in related areas, demonstrated research productivity and no more than 3 years of post-doctoral experience.
