Job Description:
A postdoctoral position is available at the Department of Pharmacology, University of Minnesota, to study mechanisms of G protein signaling in the mammalian nervous system. Please visit laboratory website at http://www.tc.umn.edu/~marte105 for the description of current research directions.
We are looking for a highly-motivated and self-driven individual who wishes to work creatively in an independent setting. Successful candidates will have recently received a Ph.D. degree and have extensive research experience as evidenced by a strong publication record. Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable: (1) site-directed mutagenesis, protein purification and enzyme kinetics, (2) protein-protein interaction assays, (3) protein identification approaches by mass-spectrometry, and (4) cell culture and analysis of protein localization and trafficking by fluorescence microscopy. The Principle Investigator is committed to the promotion of the associate’s career development by encouraging the preparation of research papers, the participation at meetings, and the submission of independent grant applications.
