Job Description:

£29,139 – £32,796

We wish to appoint two Postdoctoral Research Assistants to work on a Basic Technology project to explore new methods of intracellular sensing in analytical biotechnology for drug-discovery, understanding disease.

Postdoctoral Research Assistant 1 Ref No: 13545/DPO/A3 – will be either an Engineer, a Biologist or a Physical Scientist who has experience in either microfludics or Lab-on-a-Chip. Candidates with experience of single cell manipulation or assay development within cells should also apply.

Postdoctoral Research Assistant 2 Ref No: 13547/DPO/A3 – will be either an Engineer, a Biologist or a Physical Scientist who has experience in spectroscopy for characterisation of cells. Applications from candidates with experience of fluorescence and/or Raman, SERS or SERRS are particularly welcome.

In either case, you should either have completed the experimental work towards a doctorate, or already hold a doctorate with post-doctoral experience in a relevant field.
