Position:

Postdoctoral Research positions to study gene regulation in the human and other complex genomes.

Job Description:

Postdoctoral Research positions are available immediately at the Computational Biology Branch of NCBI, NIH.

We seek candidates to study gene regulation in the human and other complex genomes. This work will rely on combining genome data mining, statistical methods development, and whole-genome data integration to work on:

1.deciphering semantics of the gene regulatory code

2.studying evolution of gene regulatory networks

3.developing novel computational methods to predict tissue-specific enhancers and repressors

4.identifying disease-causing mutations within gene regulatory elements

Successful candidates must have a Ph.D. and less than 5 years of postdoctoral experience, preferably in comparative genomics, statistics / machine learning, population genetics, and/or bioinformatics.
