We seek a highly motivated individual to join one of the following research projects at the laboratory of Cardiac Differentiation, department of Biology: • Development of stem cell-derived human cardiomyocytes • Biophysical study of patient-specific derived-cardiomyocytes harbouring mutation linked to cardiac disorders • Identification of optimal conditions to promote direct reprogramming into cardiomyocytes from somatic cells The position is funded by Postdoctoral Research Associates Program. http://www.muni.cz/research/postdoctoral/?lang=en Qualification: Ph.D. in cellular physiology, biology or chemistry, prior experience in cell culture, molecular electrophysiology or calcium imaging is advantageous but not essential; a history of excellent research productivity and independent thinking. Description

The Department of Biology is focused on top-class research particularly in the area of embryonic and induced pluripotent stem cell research, genome instability and DNA repair, cardiac, neuronal and cancer biology and synthesis of new biologically active compounds. Postdoctoral Research Associates Program funds the position. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered.
