Description

The Biomaterials Science and Engineering Laboratory at MIT seeks an individual to design, develop, and execute chemical, biochemical, genetic, cellular, and associated bioassays, as well as quantitative image analysis and microfluidics experiments to evaluate the medicinal or therapeutic potential of natural products. Will work closely within a small research group as well as with interinstitutional experts and a renowned international research institution to advance a targeted research program. Initial focus will be on industrial phytochemicals, particularly polyphenols. This position offers a challenging opportunity to demonstrate exceptional capability and contribute to a rapidly developing field. A strong commitment is required from an ambitious individual with initiative and a spirit of innovation and discovery to capture the potential of this program.

Requirements: an advanced degree in biology, physical science, or engineering. For the Postdoctoral Associate, a PhD is required. A strong background in basic science and the ability to learn and apply novel techniques and concepts are essential. Excellent communication and collaborative skills necessary.
