Responsibilities: The primary focus of this position is the design, synthesis, and characterization of novel small molecule linkers and DNA -based targeting ligands to be incorporated in drug onjugates for site-specific drug delivery. Knowledge, qualifications, skills and experience: Candidates must be professionally qualified with a PhD in synthetic organic or medicinal chemistry or relavant ields, Experience in working in drug discovery within an academic environment is an advantage. Ability to work with limited supervision. Good time management, organisational and ommunication skills are required. The selected candidate will be responsible for synthesis, purification, and characterization of these small organic molecules and optimize a robust synthetic method capable to support the synthesis of hundreds of medium sized macrocycles, using solid phase or solution parallel synthesis.
