Postdoc in Systems Biology (#SLPD01)
The newly founded Institute of Molecular Biology (IMB ) is an Excellence Centre for Life Science, funded by the Boehringer Ingelheim Foundation, and located in Mainz, Germany.
Applications are invited for a Postdoc position in the research group “Modeling of Biological Networks” ( http://www.imb-mainz.de/research-at-imb/legewie/research/ ). Our group applies mathematical modeling to understand cell-to-cell variability and the dynamics of gene regulatory networks.
You will
• Develop mechanistic mathematical models of intracellular regulatory networks
• Work in close collaboration with Dr. Legewie and other group members
• Be willing to collaborate with internal and external partners
Required qualifications
• PhD in biology, physics, mathematics or a related discipline
• Background in biology and nonlinear dynamics
• One first author paper in an international peer reviewed journal
• Good written and spoken English
