Description

The Disease Biophysics Group in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Harvard has postdoctoral fellowship positions available for candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas:
1. Optical mapping of action potential propagation in cardiac and neural networks
2. Calcium processing in cardiac and smooth muscle
3. Cell mechanics
4. Digital particle image velocimetry; experience with either cardiovascular fluid mechanics or the swim biomechanics of marine creatures is suitable

With the exception of the position requiring experience in digital particle velocimetry, all positions require extensive subject matter expertise in cardiac biology with a supporting publication record. Experience with cardiac cell culture techniques is very desireable.
