Fabrizio d’Adda di Fagagna’s group has an opening for a motivated and career-oriented research fellow at the postdoctoral level. The candidate will capitalize on our recent exciting discovery of DNA replication alterations and DNA Damage Response (DDR) activation by activated oncogenes (1) and will set this observation in the context of cellular senescence (2) and cancer (3). The research project will benefit from a number of supporting initiatives such as the access to DNA combing technology, expert mathematical modeling of DNA replication events and direct access to human tumors and mouse models.

The successful candidates will be creative and energetic and capable to take full advantage of the interactive research environment at IFOM-IEO campus (www.ifom-ieo-campus.it).

The Campus hosts 450 people and results from the integration of two of the main Italian cancer research institutes: IFOM (FIRC Institute of Molecular Oncology) and IEO (European Institute of Oncology), hosting a total of 35 independent research groups, a number of core technological facilities and Biotech companies. The IFOM-IEO Campus is also home to the PhD program of SEMM (European School of Molecular Medicine).

Mammalian cultured cells and viral vectors will be used in combination with a number of molecular and cell biology techniques.
A scientific background in DNA replication will be advantageous.

Salary will be commensurate with skills and experience. Appointment is for three years.
