Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated post-doctoral scientist to participate in a research programme in the laboratory of Professor Gail Taylor. This post is funded by the UK Energy Research Centre (www.ukerc.ac.uk), through NERC and in collaboration with the Universities of Edinburgh and Lancaster. You will be able to develop and support current research, particularly in the area of trees as sources of renewable energy, the use of poplar genomics and the application of high throughput techniques to the development of poplar as a biomass crop. Considerable potential will exist to develop an independent research portfolio within this area, but core skills in plant genetics, environmental biology and quantitative biology are desirable.

The post is available immediately for a period of 18 months in the first instance.
