Description

We are seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to study the molecular mechanisms of septic cardiomyopathy and ischemic myocardial injury. The position is available immediately. Using a variety of techniques such as somatic gene transfer, germline modification, in vitro and in vivo mouse models of sepsis and ischemia-reperfusion injury, the NIH-funded projects focus on defining the role of innate immune signaling in the pathogenesis of septic cardiac dysfunction and ischemic myocardial injury. Significant experience in molecular/biochemical techniques is required. The successful candidate should be highly motivated and have good verbal and written English communication skills. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
