A postdoctoral position is available immediately to study the epigenetics (DNA methylation and hydroxymethylation) of drug response. The postdoctoral fellow will be hired through the Dept of Pediatrics and the newly established UIC Institute of Human Genetics. This postdoctoral fellow is expected to have comprehensive training in human genetics, statistical genetics, genomics, bioinformatics, and other related areas. Our team is particularly interested in candidates who are experienced in large scale genomic data analysis and familiar with commonly used data analysis tools (e.g., PLINK , Bioconductor). Knowledge in molecular biology, epigenetics, pharmacogenomics is desirable. The successful candidate will have opportunities to work with an interdisciplinary team across two universities. The project will be conducted under the guidance of PIs: Dr. Wei Zhang (UIC ) and Drs. Lucy Godley and Eileen Dolan (The University of Chicago). Candidates with a recently awarded PhD degree and strong commitment to high quality research with excellent skills in communication and interpersonal relationships are encouraged to apply.
