Description

The highly motivated successful applicant will study the role of epithelial cells in the innate immune system of the skin and the digestive tract. The research will explore cytokine networks and novel signal transduction pathways in homeostasis, infectious diseases and chronic inflammation. Basic science and translational research will be conducted.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. or M.D. degree and a strong background in molecular biology and/or immunology. Documented comprehensive experience with molecular biology techniques and cell culture models is required. Additional experience with inflammatory models of the skin and the digestive tract will be an advantage.
