Salary will be £21,477-£24,839 per annum plus £2,323 London Allowance per annum.

Description

This is an opportunity for a post-doctoral Research Associate to work on a British Heart Foundation-funded programme grant on the molecular mechanisms of human vascular smooth muscle cell calcification and ageing focusing on the role of nuclear architecture in regulating these processes. Studies will include standard cellular and molecular biological techniques and/or proteomics. The post is available until 30 April 2010 with the opportunity for renewal should the programme grant be successfully renewed.

A background in a molecular/cell biological research area and excellent team-working skills are essential.

The post is based within the new £30M James Black Centre at King’s Denmark Hill campus.
