A postdoctoral position is immediately available at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Worcester, MA, USA. The position is for a motivated individual to investigate the mechanism by which human papillomavirus (HPV) oncogene E7 abrogates cell cycle checkpoints and induces genomic instability. HPV is the causative agent for cervical cancer. The candidate will employ a combination of cell culture, protein biochemistry, and molecular biology techniques to explore the role and post-translational modification of a cellular protein in E7-induced genomic instability. The candidate should have a PhD with a strong background in molecular biology. Hands-on experience with protein biochemistry is a plus.
