Description

A postdoctoral position is immediately available at The University of Texas Health Center at Tyler (UTHCT), to study the mechanisms of lung epithelial ion channels in knock out and transgenic mice. The potential candidates should have an M.D. and/or Ph.D. degree and a strong background in genetics and molecular biology. Preference will be given to those with significant experience in gene target studies. Applicants should have demonstrated scientific productivity, good inter-personal and communication skills, and be able to conduct independent research. Salary will be commensurate with experience and skills. The Health Center is a basic and clinical research institute focusing on lung diseases. Research laboratories within the Health Center are housed in a modern facility equipped with state of the art instrumentation.
