Description
A bioinformatics postdoctoral fellow position is available in thelaboratory of Dr. Yi Xing at the College of Medicine of the Universityof Iowa. The postdoctoral fellow will develop computational andstatistical methods for mammalian transcriptome analysis based onnext-generation high-density microarray and massively parallelsequencing technologies. He/she will work closely with experimentalcollaborators in the analysis of large-scale mRNA and ncRNAtranscriptome profiles of human neurological diseases.
The successful candidate should have a Ph.D. inbioinformatics/computational biology or related fields. Strong computerprogramming skills and creative thinking are required. A proven trackrecord in sequence analysis or microarray analysis is highly desired.Interested candidates should send a CV and names of three referees toDr. Yi Xing (yi-xing AT uiowa.edu). Reviews of applications will starton November 1, 2007 until the position is filled.
