The National Institute on Aging (NIA), a major research component ofthe National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Department of Health andHuman Services (HHS), is recruiting for several postdoctoral positionsin the Neuroplasticity and Behavior Unit (NBU), Laboratory ofNeurosciences (LNS) in the Intramural Research Program (IRP) at the NIA.
The postdoctoral positions are available to study neural circuitsimportant for learning and memory. Areas of investigation include therole of exercise, dietary supplementation and adult neurogenesis inmemory function. The candidates for the multiple positions should haveexperience in one or more of the following fields of research:electrophysiology, immunohistochemistry, behavior, virology.
The candidates must have a doctoral degree in a relevant field withfive years or less of postdoctoral experience. Candidates with a strongwork ethic and excellent written and presentation skills are encouragedto apply. The NIA IRP offers an outstanding training environment.
Salary is commensurate with experience and accomplishments.
