The Faculty of Medicine is one of five faculties of Umeå University. Thefaculty is an organization for education and research groups in thefields of medicine, odontology and health care. It comprises 13departments, 2 research centers and 12 academic programmes. Within thefaculty there are about 3 000 undergraduate and 650 graduate students.About 1 000 people are employed here, among them about 500 teachers/researchers.

Marie Curie Fellowship in Molecular Pharmacology
The position, starting on 1 March 2008 (although this date isnegotiable) is within a research project using RNA interferencetechniques for the study of the function of the endocannabinoid systemin mammalian cultures.
Since the post is funded by the European Union as part of the MarieCurie Transfer of Knowledge and the work will be performed in a Swedishlaboratory, the candidate must be a citizen of a member state or anassociated state of the EU and should not have been working in Swedenfor more than 12 months over the last 3 years. Swedish citizens are noteligible for this post. The contract is limited to 24 months.
