Description
In the group of the newly established Chair for Bioanalytics located onthe Weihenstephan Campus north of Munich, Germany, there is an immediateopening for a full time, post-doctoral Scientist in Chemical Proteomicswith a strong background in synthetic organic or medicinal chemistry.
Position: The successful candidate will be a key member of a growinginterdisciplinary research team focused on the development ofproteome-wide activity and affinity profiling approaches for smallmolecules, natural products and peptides as well as their application tochemical biology, biomarker discovery and signaling pathway analysis.
Depending on experience, the initial term will be 3-6 years but may beextended. There will also be the possibility to obtain ‘habilitation’within the German academic career development system.
Requirements: PhD in Chemistry with a focus on synthetic organic ormedicinal chemistry ideally in the areas of kinase inhibitors, naturalproducts or peptides. Broad practical synthetic and analyticalexperience is essential and additional desirable skills include a goodunderstanding of biochemistry and informatics.

Flexibility and the ability to work in amultidisciplinary environment on multiple scientific and infrastructureprojects focused on innovative proteomic concepts are essential.Communication and presentation skills are also important.
