Join our exciting programme of research in nutrition and preventative medicine. At the Rowett Research Institute, scientists have been working at the frontiers of nutrition research for over 90 years.

POST DOCTORAL SCIENTIST - (BAND 6PD)

A Post Doctoral Scientist is required to complete experiments in the EC-funded research consortium, REPLACE (http://www.replace-eu.com/). The post will be a Limited Term Appointment for a period of six months initially, working with the coordinator of the consortium, Dr R.J. Wallace, who is also Group Leader of the Microbial Biochemistry Group at the Institute. Candidates must have skills in fatty acids analysis and a background knowledge of ruminant nutrition. A working knowledge of the relation between rumen microbial metabolism and the fatty acid composition of ruminant products, particularly milk would be highly beneficial.

Salary range is £24,200 – £27,200 per annum (pay award pending) with placement depending on career achievements to date. There is a choice of contributory pension schemes.
