Description
A postdoctoral position is available in the Department of Genetics, YaleUniversity School of Medicine, to study the role of gene regulatorychange in the evolution of uniquely human traits. We are using mousetransgenic/engineering strategies as well as in vitro approaches to gainbiological insights from our ongoing computational identification ofnoncoding sequences rapidly evolving in humans (e.g. Science 314:786).
We are seeking highly motivated candidates with a substantial backgroundin the functional genomics of gene regulation, molecular evolutionand/or vertebrate developmental biology. Candidates with both strongcomputational and experimental skills are especially encouraged toapply. We strongly encourage applications from women and minority candidates.
