Postdoctoral Positions Available in Okinawa, Japan
Postdoctoral research positions, for enthusiastic and highlyself-motivated researchers, are available in the Trans-membraneTrafficking Unit at Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST).The main research focus of the Unit is to understand the function ofbacterial membrane proteins involved in secretion systems by the meansof molecular biology and X-ray crystallography. The work will includecloning, expression, purification, characterization and crystallizationof proteins suitable for structural biology.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in biophysics, biochemistry, molecularbiology, chemistry or crystallography. Experience in proteincrystallization and crystal structure determination is not required butwill be appreciated. The position will initially be for one year, with apossibility of extension for up to three years.
