Description

A postdoctoral position is available to work on a project regarding the identification of the sites of beta-cleavage of the amyloid precursor protein and the purification of APP-carrying vesicles.
Strategies will be employed based on the development of different APP constructs expressed together with dominant active mutants of regulatory proteins. Experiments will utilize biochemical techniques, as cell fractionation, bi-dimensional gel electrophoresis and mass spectrometry sequencing, combined with imaging on cells in colture and neurons.
A cell biology background and experience in molecular biology and imaging would be advantageous.
The fellowship is for two years, renewable.
