Description
An AFM/STM Postdoctoral Position is available immediately in ProfessorGlen Miller’s Research Group at the University of New Hampshire. TheSalary is highly competitive. Several years of experience in either AFMor STM studies, preferably both, is required.
Our group works at the boundaries between organic chemistry, materialsscience and nanotechnology. We seek a dynamic, energetic individual thatcan work well with others while exploring new nanolithographies as wellas the self-assembly of large molecules on 2D substrates. For a recentpublication highlighting some of our work, see J. Liu and G. P. Miller,“Field-assisted Nanopatterning,” Journal of Physical Chemistry C, 2007,111, 10758-10760.
A Ph.D. or equivalent is required as is a strong track record in SPM.The successful candidate will have SPM related publications, excellentcommunication skills and an ability to help draft publications andproposals. He/she will assume responsibilities for the use of two SPM’s,one a Park Scientific AFM and the other a Veeco mulit-mode SPM.
