UNIVERSITY OF LIVERPOOL
School of Biological Sciences – Centre for Cell Imaging
We are seeking Postdoctoral Scientists, to work in the Centre for CellImaging (CCI) in Liverpool which is equipped with £3m state-of-the-artmicroscopy facilities for time-lapse luminescence and fluorescenceimaging of single living cells. We have recently been awarded a BBSRCSABR systems biology project over 5 years in collaboration with theUniversities of Warwick and Manchester. The aim of this project is todevelop a coherent quantitative understanding of the dynamics andfunction of the key NF-k_B signalling system in mammalian cells. Thisfollows our previous demonstration (_Science 306, 704-8, 2004) thatoscillatory dynamics control signalling in the NF-kappaB pathway. Theproject will involve a large team applying live cell imaging, biochemical, proteomic and genomic analyses in close relationship tomathematicians and computer scientists developing stochastic anddeterministic models. One key aim of this project (which is required byBBSRC) is to prioritise the training and career development of staff.Training will be available in all areas of the project.
