A Research Fellow to investigate biochemical reactions and pathways and their influence on the bacterial synthesis of H2.

Job Description:

The new RF will join a Microbial Metabolic Engineering project, at the multi-national Frontier Research Department of Fujirebio Inc., that investigates biochemical reactions and pathways and their influence on the bacterial synthesis of H2. All research projects have a combined applied and fundamental approach and are aimed at generating both high-quality research papers and technical innovations that are patentable.

The ideal applicant has a positive and inquisitive approach, is looking for a first or second post-doctoral position, and is eager to generate both novel fundamental insight and innovations of practical importance within set time limits. Applicants with experience and interest in metabolic engineering, computational modeling of metabolism, and/or protein engineering and purification are particularly encouraged to apply.” Practical skills in molecular biology techniques are essential.
