This position iseligible for a $500 Employee Referral Bonus consistent with theUniversity policy. The postdoctoral fellow will be a part of the CardiacSignal Transduction and Cellular Biology Laboratory directed by MichaelS. Kapiloff, M.D., PhD. The overall goal of the laboratory is tounderstand how the formation of multimolecular protein complexes confersspecificity in intracellular signaling. A major focus of the lab hasbeen the mAKAP signalosome that facilitates crosstalk between cAMP,calcium and MAP-kinase signaling pathways and that is important for theinduction of myocyte hypertrophy. Other interests include theidentification of novel scaffolds for the phosphatase calcineurin. Awide range of techniques are being used to address these questionsincluding the biochemical analysis of recombinant proteins in vitro,transfection of primary cardiac myocyte cultures, live cell imaging andthe generation of mutant mice models.
Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. or equivalent. An appropriatecombination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications willbe considered. Enthusiastic individuals with experience in molecularbiology, biochemistry, cell biology or cardiac physiology are encouragedto apply.
