Description
A highly motivated postdoctoral fellow is sought to join ourmulti-disciplinary team of protein engineers. The applicant will beresponsible for the synthesis and characterization of novel nucleosideanalogs for directed evolution experiments and in vitro studies ofengineered enzymes. Candidates with strong interest in acquiring newskills at the interface of chemistry and biology (synthetic biology,chemical biology) are highly desired. The position does requireexcellent oral and written communication skills.
Applicants with a Ph.D. degree in Organic or Medicinal Chemistry shouldbe within 3 months of Ph.D. graduation or should have completed theirthesis at the time of application. The position requires hands-onexperience to modern synthetic methodology and spectroscopic andseparation techniques (HPLC, NMR, Fluorescence). Although not required,prior experience in the field of nucleoside chemistry and proficiency inenzyme kinetics are a plus.
