Description
The Institute of Cancer, Centre for Medical Oncology is seeking applications for a 3 year MRC funded post-doctoral research assistant to join a team investigating the clinical and functional consequences of Wilms’ Tumour 1 (WT1) mutation in Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. The successful applicant will join the molecular (Leukemia. 2007 21:550-1; Cancer Res. 2005 65:9152-4; N Engl J Med. 2004 351:2403-7) and stem cell biology (Blood. 2007 109:1298-306; Blood. 2006 107:1166-73; Blood. 2005 106:4086-92) groups of Dr Jude Fitzgibbon (Barts and the London) and Dr Dominique Bonnet (London Research Institute).
Essential requirements for this post include a PhD in a relevant subject, with previous experience in stem cell/cell biology and retroviral construction. A demonstrated ability to communicate well, work within a team and maintain good laboratory records are also essential. This is a full time, fixed term position for 3 years.
Appointment will be made on the NPF Grade 4 scale (£27,813-£32,690) per annum inclusive depending on experience.
