Applications are invited for postdoctoral positions in the Department ofBiochemistry and Molecular Biophysics at the University of Arizona. (http://delos.biochem.arizona.edu/miyashita)
The initial appointment will be for one year with reappointment for asecond year by mutual agreement. Research interests focus on theoreticaland computational understanding of conformational dynamics associatedwith biological functions, especially:
* Binding and intermolecular electron transfer reaction of proteins
* Prediction of protein function through consideration of dynamical property
* Simulation of evolution process of protein architecture
Ideal candidates would have a strong background in computational ortheoretical biological physics, biophysics, chemistry, structuralbiology or related disciplines. Experience in molecular modeling andsimulation of biological systems, programming skills (C, Fortran, Perl),familiarity with UNIX/Linux operating system are highly desirable butnot necessary.
