Description
A two-year post-doc position is currently available, as of February2008, at Stockholm Brain Insitute (www.stockholmbrain.se), KarolinskaInstitutet (www.ki.se), Stockholm, Sweden. The position is connected toa longitudinal study called “Learning and Memory in Children and youngAdults” which is presently being conducted at Stockholm Brain Institutein collaboration with a number of other universities in Sweden. As partof this study, we are currently acquiring functional and structural MRIdata, performing cognitive testing and acquiring genetic data fromchildren and young adults.
The responsibilities of the post-doc will include pre-processing andanalysis of functional and structural MR images, and linking the resultswith the genetic and cognitive data. There will also be opportunities toconduct independent MR research. Applicants should be experienced inimage processing and statistical analysis, usage of neuroimagingsoftware (SPM, FSL) and have knowledge of Matlab and UNIX. The post-docwill be affiliated with the group for Development Cognitive Neuroscience(www.klingberglab.se) led by Prof. Torkel Klingberg. This group is partof Stockholm Brain Institute, an inter-disciplinary cognitiveneuroscience centre at Karolinska Institutet.
