Applications are invited for postdoctoral positions in the laboratory ofDr. Songhai Chen in the Department of Pharmacology, University of Iowa,with an expected start date of July 2008.
The laboratory studies G protein signaling in leukocyte migration andtumor metastasis. The major focus is to elucidate the functions of novelinteracting proteins of G protein betagamma subunits in directed cellmigration (for more details please check the web site: http://www.medicine.uiowa.edu/pharmacology/03faculty.html
These studies will employ a combination of molecular and cellulartechniques, animal models and biophysical approaches. A highly motivatedPh.D. with experience in the study of signal transduction and/or animalmodels is encouraged to apply. Iowa City is a very nice, safe andcollegial town with high living standards, but inexpensive cost ofliving as compared to larger cities.
