Description
An NIH funded postdoctoral position is available to study molecular andcellular mechanisms of mammalian signal transduction. We are looking foran energetic colleague with keen interest in science and solidbackground in the areas of either biochemistry, genetics, neuroscienceor molecular/cellular biology.
The main research emphasis is expected to be on fundamental mechanismsthat govern synthesis, degradation and activity regulation ofmacromolecular signaling complexes of RGS proteins – key regulators ofvision and behavior implicated in a range of neurological diseases.
The laboratory employs a variety of multidisciplinary approachesspanning from enzyme kinetics and protein-protein interactions toimaging of protein trafficking, mass-spectrometry assisted proteomics aswell as development and characterization of knockout/transgenic mousemodels. Broad research area offers an abundant opportunity for thechoice of research project matching candidate’s expertise and interests.The PI is committed to career development of the trainees.
