Description
Postdoctoral position available to study the molecular alterationsinduced by fatty acids in the liver of animal models of type 2 diabetesand to identify gene targets to develop effective therapeutic treatments.
The position will encompass a variety of techniques including GeneChipanalysis, small interference RNA, production of adenoviral vectors, aswell as generation and characterization of animal models.
The trainee will benefit from a close interaction with clinical andbasic science departments, and gain experience in state-of-the-artgenomics, molecular genetics, cell biology, and animal modelmanipulations. Candidates should have a PhD degree and experience inmolecular biology or biochemistry.
