Description
Dr. Vasu’s laboratory in the Departments of Surgery, College ofMedicine, University of Illinois at Chicago is seeking a Post-DoctoralFellow to carry out Immunology research. Ph.D in Immunology or otherappropriate field is required for this position. He/she will be involvedin immune tolerance research focused on type 1diabetes and autoimmunethyroiditis in mouse models. Experience in small animal handling isnecessary. This study will involve various Molecular Biology andImmunochemical Techniques with the ultimate goal of developingtherapeutic strategies for autoimmune diseases. This project workincludes recombinant protein and antibody production, proteinpurification, immunization and other animal procedures, T cell assays,flow-cytometry and other immunological techniques.
