Description
A NIBR post doctoral fellowship position is available in the departmentof Development and Molecular Pathways (DMP). We are looking for a highlymotivated postdoctoral fellow to join a dynamic research group and tolead an independent project aimed at characterization of novelmodulators of the Wnt signaling pathway. The fellow will be involved inthe identification of novel players in Wnt signaling using variousgenomic approaches including cDNA and RNAi screens, proteomics, chemicalbiology. The fellow will also be involved in the validation of selectedtargets in disease areas such as oncology. The fellow will haveopportunities to interact with experts from multidisciplinary teams andhave access to cross-departmental state-of-the-art resources. Toward theend of the training period, the fellow is expected to publish his/herfindings in peer-reviewed, high-impact journals. This is a uniqueopportunity for an independent, self-motivated candidate to enhancehis/her academic training and professional horizons.

Minimum requirements Ph. D. degree and under 3 years of postdoctoraltraining with strong background in cell biology, molecular biology andbiochemistry. Previous experience in the study of signal transduction ishighly desirable. The projects involve a broad range of molecular,cellular and biochemical techniques. The candidate is expected topossess strong problem solving and analytical skills, and be capable ofindependent, creative thinking. Excellent communication and organizationskills are required.
