Description

The Vilhelm Magnus laboratory is an integrated research unit between the
two neurosurgical departments at the University of Oslo. Together these
two departments serve half of the Norwegian population (4.5 million). The
group is also a member of the Center for Stem Cell Based Tumor Therapy SFI
(SENIT) (www.stemcell.no).

The group consists of one professor, one senior scientist, 1,5 Postdocs
and 5 PhD students and 2 technicians. The projects in the lab concern
normal neural stem cells from the adult human brain and cancer stem cells
from human brain tumors. A main focus is on comparing these two cell
types.

We are looking for a skilled postdoc with a broad methodological
competence in molecular and cellular biology, and have some experience
in the broad field of stem cells research. Research experience within
advanced cell biology, cell filming, stem cell biology, or FACS will be
advantageous. Please give two or more relevant references.
We are also looking for a PhD-student.
