Several positions are now available in the laboratory of Dr LionelBerthoux at Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, Canada. Starting datecould be any time in 2008. Topics include but are not limited to:
Cellular factors inhibiting HIV-1 and other retroviruses.
HIV1 intracellular transport and integration.
Modification of cellular and viral proteins by SUMO.
• Research is well-funded and publication-oriented.
• Salaries are guaranteed but candidates are encouraged to apply toexternal training grants.
• Prior experience in retrovirology, molecular biology, genetic screens,or protein biochemistry is desirable but not required.
• Candidates must be eager to make a difference, and those applying topostdoc positions should have demonstrated ability to publish andcommunicate results.
• UQTR is a French-speaking university, but both English and French arespoken in the lab, and good English communication skills are required.PhD students are allowed to write their PhD thesis in English.
• UQTR is located in a bucolic environment, 90 min from both Montréaland Québec City. Trois-Rivières is primarily a French-speaking city.
