Stony Brook University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor. We are seeking to recruit an outstanding faculty member exploring any area of Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Systems Biology or Developmental Biology.

Candidates must have an MD and/or a PhD in Biochemistry, Chemistry or a closely related field, as well as two years of postdoctoral experience. Candidates should have demonstrated excellence in innovative research and a strong commitment to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Applicants will be judged on significance of past research accomplishments, as demonstrated by articles published in peer-reviewed journals; experience and qualifications; letters of recommendation; quality of proposed research; fundability of proposed research; potential impact of proposed research on the mission of the Department and the University; and potential impact of the candidate to the educational mission of the Department and the University. The successful candidate will beexpected to develop a robust extramurally funded research program.
