Postdoctoral fellow/Research associate: Parallelized, miniaturizedsandwich assay development for high throughput protein profiling
The Micro and NanoBioengineering group of McGill University seeks anoutstanding postdoctoral fellow or research associate for thedevelopment of high throughput groundbreaking proteomics platform basedon microfluidic technology and a novel antibody microarray format.
Major Activities:
? Direct and execute miniaturized sandwich assay development in thecontext of large scale parallelization for our high throughputproteomics platform which is capable of multiplexed, high sensitivityand quantitative protein profiling.
? Identify and resolve key technical issues related to: large scaleantibody microarray implementation and operation, selection, conjugationand optimization of antibody reagents.
? Project coordination among the different labs.
Requirements:
? Strong background in biochemistry, clinical chemistry or the physical sciences.
? Understanding of sandwich immunoassay sensitivity and accuracy and onhow it depends on antibody selection, buffer chemistries, temperature,non-specific binding etc.
? Extensive knowledge of antibody selection, conjugation, formulation, preservation.
? PhD in the life or physical sciences.
