This position iseligible for a $500 Employee Referral Bonus consistent with theUniversity policy. The recently established Interdisciplinary Stem CellInstitute at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine isactively seeking a postdoctoral fellow to work on a multidisciplinaryproject resulting from collaborative efforts between various researchteams. Research will be focused on the roles of human and murine bonemarrow and their clinical potential in chronic wound healing.Additionally, research on newly established bone marrow co-culturesystems will be explored for clinical applications to treat otherdisorders including but not limited to diabetes and spinal cord injuries.
The successful applicant must have a Ph.D. and needs to demonstrate atrack record of high enthusiasm and motivation, significantindependence, creative thinking, and knowledge in scientific manuscriptand grant writing, preparation and editing. Experience in molecularbiology, tissue culture, immunohistochemistry and small animal models ismandatory and previous experience in immunology is highly desirable.Excellent communication skills in English and orderly laboratory habitsare essential. An appropriate combination of relevant education,experience and/or certifications will be considered.
