Postdoctoral position for a candidate interested in developingbioinformatics software and conducting comparative genomics research isavailable at the Computational Biology Branch of the National Center forBiotechnology Information (NCBI), National Institutes of Health (NIH).
This position will combine evolutionary studies of genome sequenceconservation, population genetics, and web-based software development(see www.dcode.org for examples). Strong C/C++, PHP, MySQL andJavascript skills are essential. Practical experience with AJAX, Dojo,CSS and Java will be a plus. Candidates with computational, physics ormathematics background interested in exploring bioinformatics are alsoencouraged to apply.
Successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or relatedfield and less than 5 years of postdoctoral experience.
