Description
Identify and characterize the in vivo functions of the molecularchaperone Hsp90 and its cofactors (p23, Aha1, Cyclophilin-40, ....).Characterize the phenotype of gene disruption mouse mutants. For some ofthe genes, conditional mutants are available as well to exploretissue-specific functions. An important goal is to link the phenotype tomolecular defects, for example, of Hsp90 client proteins.
When: September 1, 2008
Requirements: Doctoral degree. Experience in histology and in workingwith mice! Practical experience in manipulating DNA and proteins. Stronginterest in basic research.
Position: A salary will be provided for a period of one year withpossible renewals for up to five years.
