This position is eligible for a $500 Employee Referral Bonus consistentwith the University policy.
The Post Doctoral Associate will be an integral part of a majorscientific effort directed at the evaluation of novel molecular and celltransplantation strategies for the treatment of pain. The successfulcandidate will have extensive experience in the design andimplementation of preclinical pain testing in rodent models andunderstanding of recent advances in persistent pain mechanisms andneural plasticity. The Post Doctoral Associate will participate in thetransplantation of cells into the spinal cord and in vivo and in vitroevaluation of novel constructs and genetically engineered cells.Preference will be given to applicants with skills in cell and tissueculture, rodent CNS surgery, rodent behavioral testing, andimmunocytochemical analyses.
Job Requirements: Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D in Neuroscienceor related discipline. Excellent verbal and written communication skillspreferred. An appropriate combination of education, certifications,and/or relevant work experience will be considered.
