Description
Postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Gene Regulationand Molecular Immunology in the Cell Biology Division of the Biocenterof the Innsbruck Medical University in Austria.
The project is part of the Integrated Center of Research and Therapy(IFTZ) and addresses questions related to the pathogenesis of leukemiascaused by aberrant chromosomal translocations. It aims to utilizechromosome capture technology to research whether nuclear positioning issignificant in generating disease caused by aberrant action of theRecombination Activating Gene (RAG) products. Furthermore, it aims togenerate a transgenic mouse model for follicular lymphoma based onanalysis of the antibody repertoire of tumours by single cell sortingand PCR to clone the heavy and light chains of lymphoma B cells from patients.
The position is available immediately, it is for three years and can beextended to four.
