Description
Protein function is regulated in vivo by post-translationalmodifications. We are interested in studying the biological role ofprotein regulation by sumoylation in plants. Specifically, we arefocused in the essential role of SUMO in seed development. For thispurpose we use biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology, and genetic approaches.
We look for a highly motivated researcher with good laboratory skills,clear thinker and organized. The successful candidate will join a youngresearch group at the Molecular Genetics Department of the ConsorciCSIC-IRTA, Barcelona, Spain (http://www.csic-irta.es/). The instituteoffers state-of-the-art facilities that support competitive research inall biology areas that will be required during the development of theproject. The project in funded by an European ERC-Starting Grant.
